Delhivery is India's largest fully integrated logistics company, founded in 2011 by Sahil Barua, Mohit Tandon, Bhavesh Manglani, Suraj Saharan and Kapil Bharati, and headquartered in Gurugram. Unlike shipping aggregators such as Shiprocket, which route orders across dozens of third-party courier partners from a single dashboard, Delhivery is the courier itself โ it owns and operates its own fleet, around 90 warehouses, 20+ automated sort centres and roughly 2,800 delivery centres reaching 18,800+ pincodes. It listed on the NSE and BSE in May 2022. Core services span express parcel delivery (B2C and B2B), part-truckload and full-truckload freight, warehousing and fulfilment, cross-border ocean and air freight, and a data/API layer for order management, RTO prediction and returns. Sellers reach Delhivery either directly through API and enterprise contracts, or indirectly โ it is also one of the courier partners plugged into aggregators like Shiprocket. Pricing is usage-based. There is no subscription and no free tier: you pay per shipment from the first one, at rates negotiated by volume, weight slab and zone. Small sellers with low volume often get better effective rates through an aggregator that pools volume across couriers than by going direct. Delhivery turned its first full-year net profit in FY25 โ โน162 crore on revenue from operations of โน8,932 crore โ after a decade of losses funded by SoftBank, Tiger Global and Carlyle, all of whom have since sold down substantially post-IPO. Delhivery suits high-volume D2C brands and enterprises that can negotiate direct rates and want first-party accountability for delivery SLAs. It is a poor fit for individual consumers, who rarely choose their own courier โ the merchant picks the carrier. That distinction matters when reading its reviews: the consumer tracking app rates around 4.0 on the Play Store across 432,000+ ratings, while complaint-driven platforms like Trustpilot sit near 1.1, and the two measure very different populations.
