The platform's strength is its focus on artisan-made and handloom products that are hard to find on mainstream marketplaces like Amazon or Flipkart. Product categories span ethnic apparel, footwear, fashion accessories, and home accessories, with items sourced directly from artisans and small designers across India. Pricing varies widely since it's a marketplace of independent sellers, but products are generally affordable — budget ethnic wear starts from under Rs 500. The platform charges no subscription fee for buyers. Delivery is available across India with cash-on-delivery option, though a Rs 99 delivery charge applies on most orders. Returns are accepted but refunds typically go to Craftsvilla wallet credits rather than bank refunds. Craftsvilla is best suited for shoppers looking for ethnic Indian fashion, handloom sarees, artisan jewelry, and traditional home decor at affordable prices. The platform fills a niche between high-end designer boutiques and mass-market e-commerce. However, product quality is inconsistent across sellers, customer service responsiveness has declined in recent years, and the platform's technology and user experience feel dated compared to newer competitors like Nykaa Fashion or Myntra's ethnic section.

Not through its website. We checked on 27 August 2026: craftsvilla.com returns a 301 redirect to https://www.craftsvilla.com/, and that hostname does not exist in DNS at all — a lookup for it returns NXDOMAIN. Requesting the root domain over HTTPS simply times out. There is no path by which a normal browser loads the site today. The Android app is still published on Google Play under the package com.craftsvilla.app, and its listing page loads normally, so the app has not been removed. But the iOS App Store listing returns 404. We cannot tell you whether orders placed in the Android app are still being fulfilled, and we would not assume they are.
We cannot verify that it is, so we would not recommend paying money into it until the situation is clearer. The website being unreachable and the iOS app being delisted are both signals that something has changed at the company. If you do decide to order through the Android app, prefer cash on delivery over prepaying, and keep in mind that Craftsvilla's historical refund practice was to issue wallet credits rather than refund your original payment method — wallet credit in a store you cannot reach is worth nothing.

For handloom sarees, artisan jewellery and traditional Indian wear, the usual working alternatives are Jaypore, Ajio, Myntra's ethnic range, Nykaa Fashion, and the government-backed handicrafts marketplaces. If you specifically want to buy direct from artisans, iTokri and Gaatha operate in that niche and their sites are live.
