JioSaavn

JioSaavn (formed by the 2018 merger of Reliance Jio's music service and Saavn, which launched in 2007) is India's largest music streaming platform with over 110 million monthly active users. It hosts more than 100 million songs across 15+ Indian languages — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Odia, Assamese, Rajasthani, Haryanvi, and English. JioSaavn's biggest advantage is its bundling with Reliance Jio's telecom plans — most Jio postpaid and prepaid recharges above Rs 299/month include JioSaavn Pro for free, which effectively gives hundreds of millions of Jio subscribers ad-free music streaming at no extra cost. Standalone JioSaavn Pro costs Rs 399/year (~Rs 33/month), about a third of Spotify Premium India (Rs 1,189/year). The catalog is particularly strong in Bollywood, regional Indian cinema soundtracks, devotional music, and original content (JioSaavn Originals).
